Throughout the year Equip promotes a variety of practical training opportunities to develop skills for ministry. Below are some of the opportunities available in 2010.
You are invited to come benefit from the offered materials and advice.
These selected practical training courses are promoted by Equip but run by individual churches in their Schools of Christian Ministry. Please make any payments direct to them and not via Equip. The cost for each training will depend on the course you choose as the price for materials will vary.
6 Steps To Reading Your Bible
Reading the Bible often feels like our attempts to have regular exercise - a healthy chore we know we should fit in, but which is hard to manage among everything else, and ends up slipping off the agenda.
Whatever your current Bible reading habits (or lack of them), and whatever your level of knowledge and confidence, Six Steps To Reading Your Bible will help you make progress in getting into your Bible. The course utilises a mix of video instruction, Bible study, discussion, practical exercises, prayer and assignments.
6 Steps To Talking About Jesus
Think of the people around you: your family, your workmates, the man at your favourite hawker stall, your neighbours. Is there a single one of them who doesn't need to be following Jesus?
Yet like so many Christians, do you feel uneasy about reaching out to people? Perhaps you feel unsure about where to start and what to say?
Six Steps to Talking about Jesus is a short course that goes back to square one, and helps you make a start.
Growth Groups
Growth Groups is a 10 week practical, 'hands-on' training program to develop effective small group leaders. A training program useful for all Christian ministry, not just cell groups, because it
deals with the fundamentals of gospel work.

Personal Follow-up - Registrations Closed
Personal Follow-up is a training course that aims to train Christians in a caring and concern for new believers that they may be encouraged, strengthened and firmly established in the faith. Through group discussion, home study and practical experience, trainees become familiar with the 'Just for Starters' Bible studies as a framework for following up new Christians.

Two Ways To Live - Registrations Closed
This is a training course for every Christian. Over 7 weeks you will be equipped with two basic and essential skills:
- A sound and thorough knowledge of what the gospel is, and
- The ability to share it with someone else clearly and naturally when the opportunity arises.
