Equip provides opportunities for students to study modules on the Bible, theology and church history through the accredited Certificate of Theology course from Moore College in Sydney, Australia.
The Certificate in Theology is an established distance learning course used throughout the world. It is designed to be flexible, allowing students to study individually or in a group and at their own pace, sitting for an exam at the end of the term which is credited towards their certificate.
The course consists of three progressive levels comprising six modules per level. You are advised to complete one level before you can move on to the next level:
1. Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC)
2. Intermediate Theological Certificate (ITC)
3. Certificate in Theology (ThC)
Please note that all students must take ‘Bible Overview’ first before they can proceed to any other modules.
Every student has their own learning style. Equip seeks to support its students through the following methods:
Taught classes: These are available for one module from PTC and ITC during terms 1, 2 and 3 of the year.
Self-study: Students undertaking independent study for an offered module will be assigned a mentor they can contact if they have any queries.
We recommend that full-time students and employed individuals should only take one module per term. Please contact the course administrators if you would like to register for more than one module per term.
Equip currently offers PTC level subjects for self-study in Chinese, Tamil and Hindi. Please note the fee structure for studying Chinese is different. Please contact the course administrators for more information.
Anyone who wishes to study and understand God’s word better.
It is recommended that students spend approximately five hours a week per module (including two hours class time).
